(October 19, 2023) - O&M Coffee began its journey with the task of naming the business. After much brainstorming, we decided on the name O&M Coffee, inspired by our two French Bulldogs - Oliver and Maui. These two dogs embody the qualities we seek in our coffee beans - playful, bold, mellow, and caring. We source the best coffee beans from around the globe and roast them to perfection, creating a rich, flavorsome cup of coffee for our customers.
To bring our roasted coffee beans to the community, we went through the legal formalities, including obtaining an EIN number, business name, trademark registration, laying out the business plan, and acquiring a seller's permit. We were able to fund all our purchases without any loans or credit cards, enabling us to offer good quality coffee at affordable prices.
We inspect every bag of coffee beans for high quality before roasting them. Each bag is documented and sampled to ensure the quality of the roasting process and the taste at different roast levels - light, medium, and dark.
On October 20th, 2023, we ordered an industrial roaster and coffee from Brazil, Honduras, and Indonesia for roasting. On October 21st, 2022, we reached out to farmers in Hawaii for direct sales and samples. We also ordered food-safe containers, coffee bags, and sample bags that are resealable to ensure the freshness of every open bag. On October 22nd, 2022, we purchased and set up our website, which includes a VIP membership program that offers members great gifts and discounts. This gives our VIP members a chance to try new flavors, seasonal blends, and new coffee from different parts of the world.
To ensure that we can separate decaf coffee beans from regular ones, we ordered another coffee roaster on October 23rd, 2022.
Our coffee beans are roasted to perfection to provide our customers with the bold robust coffee flavor without the taste of over-roasting. Additionally, we strive to give a coffee flavor that everyone loves without overpowering the natural taste from different parts of the world. We take pride in making sure that the coffee beans we buy and roast contribute to the workers of the coffee farm and the community.
In summary, we started with the task of naming the business and then went through the legal formalities to bring our roasted coffee beans to the community. We source high-quality coffee beans, inspect every bag before roasting, and use state-of-the-art equipment to ensure freshness and quality. We take pride in providing our customers with the best coffee experience.
